Your deep sea charter or inshore charter is a great experience
(most fun I have ever had with my clothes on!) ,
but make some simple preparations for your day of fishing.

Please follow some basic guide lines which will help make your charter fun for everyone.

  • Captains provide equipment (rods, reels, bait and etc.) for your trip. You just need to bring
aboard the food and drinks that you will need for the day.  Alcohol in moderation, please.

  • You will also need a good sunscreen, hat, and high UV sunglasses. The sunglasses protect
your eyes from the sun’s glare off the water and boat.

  • Wear a good pair of boat shoes. Please do not board the boat with bare feet  or with flip flops.

  • There are several over-the-counter drugs available to prevent sea sickness. Start your dosage
the night prior to the trip and another dose 1 hour prior to departure. Always consult a doctor concerning which medication would be best for you. Please take a medication if you suffer from
motion sickness.  You do not want to spend the entire trip chumming!

  • Bring your camera or video equipment.  No GPS equipment, please.  Most captains get a little
uneasy when they see your GPS brought on board.  Their fishing holes are fiercely protected.

  • Most mates provide fish cleaning for a small fee.  Just ask .  Also, they work for tips only,
customarily at  15%.  They are there to help you enjoy your trip, so don’t forget them.

  • Please respect the captain’s boat and rules while on board.  He is there to make your trip safe and
to put you on as many fish as possible. He wants to see you catch as many fish as you can

this is good advertising for him to bring in a great catch!
